Dr Katherine Hensley – Consultant Paediatrician MD FAAP FRACP
Dr. Kate is a Consultant Paediatrician with over 14 years’ experience working with children with complex health care needs. She has extensive experience in assessing and managing developmental and behavioural issues, gained through her work in both the United States and Australia..
She completed her Doctor of Medicine degree in the United States at East Tennessee State University and completed her paediatric specialty training at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Her experience includes roles in private practice as well as at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Texas, a highly respected and significant paediatric centre for Texas, where she served as Chair of the Department of Paediatrics.
After relocating to Australia in 2022, Dr Kate worked at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics and Child Health Division) in 2025.
Dr Kate is passionate about partnering with families to support the physical, developmental, and emotional well-being of the children under her care. Dr Kate is a mother of two wonderful boys and understands the challenges of parenthood, especially when caring for a child with unique needs. She is excited to be able to serve the families in Australia!
